Liz Stewart is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice. She will be happy to discuss any non-medical problems that you may have and also receive any suggestions for improving the services offered. In Liz’s absence, please contact Deputy Practice Manager, Hannah Richardson, who will be able to help you.
Administration and Reception Staff
The partners employ two medical secretaries and five medical receptionists who are fully trained to deal with your needs. They make appointments, take messages, arrange repeat prescriptions, book home visits and inform patients of test results, where appropriate, when the doctors have seen and approved them. In order to obtain the best possible service they may sometimes need to judge the urgency of your request by asking a few questions. Please rest assured that the rules of confidentiality apply to all practice staff.
Our nursing team comprises two Practice Nurses’ and two Health Care Technicians.
Our Practice Nurses are trained in providing chronic disease management, well person checks, childhood immunisation, travel vaccinations, ear syringing, wart removal, stitch removal, dressings, injections, cervical smears and minor surgery in conjunction with the doctors.
The healthcare technicians performs blood pressure monitoring, blood tests, ECGs, ear syringing and lung function tests.
We have a community midwife attached to the practice. She looks after all pregnant ladies and visits newborn babies at home. An antenatal clinic is held weekly at the surgery.
